**Job summary**

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients echnology and Digital Services (T&Ds) directorate for a Budgeting, Accounting and Governance Officer.

**Job description**

As part of this role, you will maintain accurate records and processes to provide support and advice for HMLR’s IT Operations and IT Service Management Practices. You will complete regular quarterly cost monitoring exercises, liaising with Budget Holders,IT Service Management Practice Cells, Supplier Managers, Commercial Group, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the most accurate reflection of the budget is maintained, entering figures into the Financial Reporting and Planning (FRP) tool withinthe deadlines set.

To meet the requirements of this role, you will be confident in working with numbers and can reconcile different sets of information to tight deadlines. You can involve and influence a diverse range of colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers in resolvingissues, and can give and accept challenge in a constructive and engaging manner.

In addition to this, you will have practical knowledge and experience of making the best use of information from financial management systems and reporting tools, to payment transaction processes, budgeting and the accurate recording and processing of financialdata. Experience of being a role model and promoting a continuous service improvement culture is essential.
