**Full Job Description**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Supervisor to join our warehouse based in Pontefract.

As the Warehouse Supervisor you will be playing a critical role to deliver stock to our external customers on time and in full, whilst ensuring stock is moved & transacted correctly, supporting 100% stock accuracy.

You will lead a team of despatch operatives based in the warehouse in Pontefract, however, you may be expected to work out of our site in Castleford as and when required.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm. Overtime after 40 hours is paid at time and a half

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the warehouse team of despatch operatives/FLT drivers to ensure processes are followed and all targets are achieved.
- Plan and coordinate warehouse manning to support daily workload.
- Track and control overtime, holiday & sickness.
- Co-ordinate and train operatives in all processes and procedures.
- Implementation and maintenance of team training matrix
- Locate stock in the warehouse to maximise the capacity.
- Ensure all onsite & local warehouse physical stocks are 100% accurate against the system - both by quantity and by location.
- Ensure the warehouse areas are clean and tidy at all times, hygiene standards are maintained.
- Ensure stock is delivered to customers on time and in full.
- Maintain warehouse processes to control all stock from arrival into the warehouse right through to shipment to all customers
- Maintain processes to ensure that all Health & Safety guidelines are followed including monitoring of the team.
- Participate in all Company Stocktakes
- Carry out any other activity as is reasonably required
- Escalate any issues to the Warehouse Manager

**Skills & Qualifications Required**
- Experience in leading a team in a logistics environment.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
- Able to work as part of a team or individually
- Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required as you may be asked to work between two sites (Pontefract & Castleford)
