My client is looking to take on a Senior Buyer for their procurement team in the Buckinghamshire area who will be responsible for managing and monitoring supplier relationships, the procurement of materials and developing cost effective processes.
Manufacturing - Engineering - Purchasing - Communication & Negotiation - Cost Effective Strategies - Supply Chain - Buying
**The Senior Buyer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- Experience with supplier negotiations and agreements including monitoring supplier performance
- Level 4 CIPS qualified or relative experience within a Manufacturing Procurement environment
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Work well under pressure to achieve deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to be able to work with a variety of people at varying levels
- Adaptable to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate with a good level of experience working with MS Excel and Word
- Experience using ERP & MRP systems
- Strong analytical skills

**The Senior Buyer role will involve**:

- Sourcing and building long lasting supplier relationships with regular contact and reviewing
- Ensuring the timely ordering and receipt of parts required for production and notifying relevant people of any delays
- Helping to develop purchasing processes
- Negotiation of supplier quotes and securing best possible prices
- Assist in improving bid accuracy by advising supplier risks, costs, and lead times
- Monitor and mentor junior members in the purchasing team
- Adhere to and analyse the given purchasing budget
