**Treasury Assistant**
Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire our high-end client are looking for a Treasury Assistant to join their team on a 6 month fixed-term contract.
This role would suit an AAT studier with some experience in a similar position to provide suppliers and customers (internal and external) with world-class service from the Finance team, whilst operating in compliance with all relevant financial controlsand statutory requirements.
Our client are a luxury UK retailer which has grown into a global brand with over 20 stores and shipping over the world.
The successful individual will have experience reconciling accounting figures and financial records with the ability to identify and investigate errors. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with high level of attention to detail.Intermediate to advanced computer software skills are essential, including Excel and Accounting packages. Retail or wholesale background is preferred.
Job responsibilities:
- Working as part of a team of 2 to complete all UK and foreign bank reconciliations and agree to the general ledger on a weekly basis.
- Inputting and processing of bank related transactions to the accounts system.
- Ensure a high accuracy of coding detail including appropriate recording of VAT.
- Reporting to the bank the movement in receivables and cash.
- Reconciling the Accounts receivable balance.
- Assist with quarterly loan facility audits and annual statutory audits.
- Carry out tender reconciliations for stores in the US, UK and the Netherlands, raising queries for discrepancies with the stores and resolving promptly.
- Support the month end process.
- Liaising with 3rd party providers e.g. G4S for cash collections and set up cash floats or collections for new stores.
- Monitor Treasury & Finance inboxes for related queries.
- Administrator for relevant credit card providers.
- Assist in the review of all current processes and procedures to develop improved efficiencies throughout operational finance.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks deemed appropriate.
