- **EQUANS are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative to be based in Newcastle This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.**

**General Overview**

Undertake repairs and maintenance to homes following Pre-Handover Inspections and existing homes during defects liability period and possibly beyond as directed.

Carry out works diligently, skillfully, safely, and tidily and awareness that in most cases tenants will be present in their homes.

Complete repair and maintenance work in accordance with the original job specification/s and in compliance with relevant and current legislation, trade body & industry standards and best practice.

**Key Accountabilities**
- To receive lists of defects
- To maintain lists of completed and uncompleted works
- To maintain lists of access records
- To report back to Supervisors with regard to completed works
- To report back to Supervisors with regard to problematic or contentious issues
- To carry out any and all defects works within their capabilities.
- To travel to designated properties
- To travel to suppliers in order to collect relevant materials
- To liaise with Site staff, Subcontractors and Supervisors in order to efficiently progress the defects completion.
- To liaise with occupiers of designated properties in order to carry out defects work to the Clients satisfaction.
- Carry out any other duties as reasonably required by the Customer Care Department, Maintenance Manager and Site Manager (only on Pre-inspection properties)
- Any other reasonable management request

**Experience**
- Previous Site based experience.
- Basic plastering skills and experience required
- Some knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
