At Kongsberg Automotive Normanton we manufacture parts for some of the most premier automotive companies in the world, alongside the manufacture of the highest quality PTFE hose used in both automotive and industrial sectors. Your day to day role will work hand in hand with our operations team to ensure the smooth flow of materials to meet production needs and the outgoing transport and documentation for finished goods which are exported across Europe. You will have the opportunity to make this position your own by developing systems and procedures to streamline processes, plus collaborate with the wider logistics team in developing the wider logistics function.

**Responsibilities**:
Your new role will include ownership of the areas highlighted, plus the opportunity to identify and develop improvements:

- Monitor and control of customer schedules.
- Regular use of customer portals to check data / control orders and KPIs.
- Booking of transports with transport companies or customer.
- Create daily picking lists for dispatch.
- Represent Logistics at daily production meetings.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on Logistics issues.
- Control returnable packaging using specified portals and service providers.
- Maintain OTD for customers.
- Establish a solid professional relationship with customers, suppliers and internal support.
- Creation of internal manufacturing plans and vendor schedules.
- Ensuring 100% parts availability for production.
- Understand internal capacities as well as available capacity at the supplier.
- Adherence to the relevant health and safety standards.

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role you will need a range of skills to set you up for success:
Understanding of Automotive portals and EDI systems
- Experience of working with Transport companies and booking deliveries
- Import/Export experience desirable
- Previous SAP experience highly desirable
- First class communication skills & confidence to work across all levels of the business
- IT Literacy - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, SAP / MRP

**What we offer**:
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 to £35,00 based on experience plus benefits including condensed working hours (37.5 hours, finishing at 1pm Fridays), 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holidays, 5% employer pension contribution, life assurance, employee discount scheme, birthday time off, free onsite parking, and regular staff events.
