**JOB TITLE: CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR**
**Repsol - Auk - 3/3-Fixed Term.**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Monitoring and operating all equipment controlled from the CCR including the DCS and Fire & Gas Panel. Monitor and control the flow of hydrocarbons from the reservoir to point of export.- Detect, identify and react to abnormal conditions that may develop into emergency situations.- Monitor and record plant conditions, bringing deviations or malfunctions to the attention of the Production Supervisor.- Carry out process system sampling as required.- Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets.-
- Prior to start-up of any plant or equipment, inspect and confirm suitability to return to normal service.- Identifying variations in production plant performance and effectively address each situation.- Documenting and accurately reporting on all operational readings, adjustments, and inspections.- Preparing all permits for designated areas of responsibility.- Performing all safety checks and process isolations. Drain, purge as required. Monitor safety in all plant areas.- Isolates, secures and operates plant systems during emergencies as directed.- Operate process equipment and utility systems in accordance with operating procedures to maximise production
- Carry out watch keeping duties to ensure integrity and stability of operation are maintained
- Prepare and isolate equipment for maintenance activities and reinstate it upon completion
- Carry out first-line maintenance activities on the process plant and utility
- Report any defects or anomalies in a timely manner
- Respond to process trips and unplanned equipment stoppages in a timely manner
- Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis activities to improve process reliability
- Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in production, cost or time without loss of integrity and present to management
- Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in PFM competence scheme, including any multi-skilled role, in accordance with the relevant competence framework
- Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success
- Create, maintain and enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
- Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
- Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Repsol Sinopec’s HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System
- Be familiar with and follow the Repsol Sinopec Golden Rules for Health and Safety at all times
- Comply with all relevant PFM HS&E policies and procedures, where appropriate
- Actively participate in and support all Repsol Sinopec and PFM Safety and Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements
- Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW, including the following:
- Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
- Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified
- Report all accidents and incidents
- Carry out Emergency Response duties in accordance with Repsol Sinopec’s requirements
**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:
- NSVQ Production of Hydrocarbons Level 3 or Equivalent
- Control of Work Training: Performing Authority level
- ISSoW: Permit Vision software training
- Previous experience in a similar offshore role
- Previous experience with Maximo or similar CMMS
- Computer literate, including use of Microsoft office suite
