**About us**

The Guinness Partnership is a not for profit organisation that specialise in care services for older people and adults with learning disabilities. We want to provide great person-centred services to enable our customers to live positive, independent lives.

We have an excellent opportunity at our Extra Care Scheme at Anderton Place, Northwich for a **Domestic Cleaner** to provide an efficient cleaning service 16 hours per week on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave. Hours will be over 5 days including alternative Saturdays **ideally with some flexibility and can be discussed at interview stage.**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all areas within the building are clean and tidy.
- Communal areas, toilets and kitchen areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and ensure they are stored securely according to COSHH guidelines.
- Report minor repairs to management.
- Wash paintwork and clean windows and doors as required.
- Be aware of and follow Guinness Care policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- A sensitive and supportive approach to vulnerable people maintaining their dignity and self-respect at all times.
- Able to follow clear instructions.
- Experience of cleaning.
- Able to climb stairs whilst manoeuvring cleaning equipment, (hoover and cleaning caddy).

**Desirable skills and experience**:

- Experience of cleaning.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and COSHH guidelines
- Understanding of the needs of particular client group’s e.g. the elderly.
