**Eventus Legal is seeking a Head of Department, Private Client Solicitor to manage the team for a well-established law firm in the Wirral, Merseyside. This is a full-time, permanent position. This is an opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor with excellent technical knowledge who is keen to manage and support the development of the department.**

**Role Responsibilities**

The incoming Private Client Solicitor will be joining a highly successful team as the Head of Department. Your main duties will include:

- Day-to-day supervision of the team
- Carrying out monthly reviews and regular appraisals
- Preparing and delivering a structured training plan
- Create and update best practice template letters and documents
- Supporting the team with technical matters
- Carrying out business development activities
- Manage a small caseload of HNW and complex administration matters
- Ensuring billing targets are achieved

**Person specification**

Applications are sought from Private Client Solicitors with 5+ years PQE, who have excellent client service skills and are keen to manage and develop a well-established team and department. Experience supervising a team and mentoring staff and STEP qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential. You will possess the following skills and experience:

- Collaborative approach to work
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong IT skills and technical knowledge
- Good numerical skills
- Keen attention to detail
