North Shields, United Kingdom Siena Court Full time

The exact working hours are yet to be confirmed, but the daily routine consists of a morning call from 10am to 11am and an evening call from 9pm to 10pm. These calls will involve providing personal care.

Additionally, the Support Worker will be required to work full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10am to 4:30pm. During these days, responsibilities will include engaging in communication exercises like reading and speech practice, going for walks, having lunch outings, and performing light housework tasks.

To work as a member of a team and also able to work on own initiative providing a high quality of supportive services to people with a learning disability living in their own homes. The work will comprise a mixture of tasks ranging from personal care, practical and emotional support, household/domestic duties through to assisting clients with daily tasks such as shopping, medication, recreational/vocational interests and use of community facilities. The work will involve working unsociable hours, participation in implementing care plans and attendance at review meetings.

Experience and knowledge of working with individuals with ASD is essential for this post.

**Summary of duties**

- To follow individual service users’ care plans to achieve the needs of each individual service user
- To effectively work with other support agencies and carers where appropriate to achieve individual assessed care needs
- To report to the manager any issues or concerns you or any service user may have
- To support and encourage support users in their daily chosen lifestyle
- To be responsive to expressed needs of individual service user
- To ensure all company’s care practices and procedures are adhered to at all times
- To ensure health and safety procedures are complied with at all times
- Maintain good working relationships within the team, with carers and other support agencies involved with service users.
