Today Team is a business-to-business urgent Sameday courier company based in Warrington WA3. We’ve had a great journey over the last 17 years with continued growth and we have a vision to grow the business further across the Northwest and beyond. Because of this, we have an opportunity for an aspirational person to join our fantastic logistics team in a Supervisory capacity.

This is a rewarding, hands on role, it’s a fast-paced environment where priorities can change minute on minute. You will be responsible for Supervising the Logistics Team, ensuring you maintain service levels to a world class standard whilst maximising company gross profits, utilising your logístical planning experience. A key part of this role requires a commitment to continuous professional development and a passion to succeed and progress alongside company growth.

You’ll ideally be a resilient, self-starter who is a team player with a natural tendency to build and improve processes and has a passion for developing people. You must be flexible and enjoy building relationships with key account customers, suppliers, and all levels of personnel within the business. Logistical Planning and driver / supplier management is a core competence of yours and experience will help you lead the team and drive company performance to meet targets.

As well as previous planning and driver / supplier management experience, you’ll need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, great attention to detail and first-class data entry / IT skills with a naturally ability to multitask and prioritise duties. Experience in a busy courier office is important and preferred but experience from other logístical backgrounds will be considered.

There will be a detailed induction to Today Team and you will also be provided with comprehensive on the job training to help you hit the ground running. Today Team operates from our head office near Culcheth, which provides a comfortable and friendly working environment with free parking on site.

Competitive salary with quarterly target related bonuses.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (1 hour for lunch). 28 days annual leave, which includes Bank Holidays. On call duties 1 week out of every 4 (remotely).
