**SEMH Primary Teacher - Bournemouth**

**SEMH specialist school**

We are looking for a Therapeutic Primary Teacher for a specialist SEMH school in Bournemouth. The school caters for students who cannot access mainstream education and has a therapeutic approach to teaching and learning with an onsite team of Therapy staff.The class sizes are small (typically 7 pupils per class) and focus on students' individual needs.

The school is a special school supporting young people from the age of 5-11 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, associated with a range of special educational needs, including autism.

**What TimePlan are looking for - SEMH Primary Teacher**
- Therapeutic teaching approach
- Experience in teaching with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies
- Positive role model to support communication with a sensitive, nurturing, and consistent approach
- Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching background
- Ability to build solid and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students

**SEMH Primary Teacher Requirements**
- Although this particular role requires QTS/QTLS, we want to hear from all Teachers no matter your qualifications
- The passion for teaching and inspiring young people during a crucial stage of their personal and academic development.
- A nurturing, patient, empathetic and holistic approach

Although experience teaching in SEMH specialist settings is beneficial, we would also love to hear from individuals interested in taking their first steps into SEND settings.
