Lime Grove Cattery is a specifically designed Luxury Cat Hotel & Spa.

Designed to enable cats to express normal patterns of behaviour including lots of places to hide, climb, play and scratch.

Set within our one acre plot on a peaceful, idillic private lane in Forest Town, Mansfield.

Position title: Cattery assistant
- Sole charge

**The role;**

Part time role working every Friday and alternate weekends. (Saturday Sunday)

As a Cattery assistant you’ll be responsible for the care and wellbeing of the cats that come to stay with us at lime grove cattery, managing bookings, greeting customers, receiving deliveries, managing & controlling stock and cleaning.
- You must have confidence with cats no matter the temperament & be open to learning new skills in cat care.
- All the system training will be provided.
- You will be required to lift cat litter bags and large food parcels on delivery days, so the ability to move and handle heavier objects is essential.

Lime Grove also has many resident animals including; horses, chickens, ducks, cats, rabbits and dogs.

Experience in animal care is an advantage, but if you are willing to learn and love to care for animals you are exactly who we’re looking for.

**The Responsibilities;**
- Sole charge of the cattery
- Greeting and talking to customers
- Caring for, cuddling and playing with the cats
- Posting updates on social media (taking lots pictures of cats)
- Cleaning out and disinfecting the cattery and pens
- Washing cat bedding
- Feeding the cats
- Administering Medications
- Answering telephone calls
- Managing bookings
- Ordering stock and maintaining an organised work environment

**About you**:

- Good time management
- Confidence with animals
- Understand cat behaviour
- Friendly, well mannered and reliable
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Happy to work alone
- Be able to drive and have their own car

After your induction and training period, you will work alone.

But don’t worry, you’ll have lots of boarding cats to keep you company and our resident animals all love attention too

**The Hours;**
- Hours are dependent on Cattery requirements
- Flexible between 8am - 6pm
- The number of hours you’ll work depends on appointments and medication requirements
- Some later evening hours may be required for medications if the owners are unavailable

**The Pay;**
- National Living Wage
