**Job Purpose**

To assist the Team Leader / Warehouse Manager in the day to day running of the stores. You will be involved in maintaining the stores areas, efficiently and accurately while continuing to help with the booking in process, allocation and dispatch of goods to our production team and end customers. Ensuring the highest possible standards are set. Due to the locations of stock and the weights and length of some of our materials you will require a Reach truck licence, Side truck loader licence and a Counterbalance forklift truck licence up to 10 ton. As well as are good PC skills.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**1 Goods inwards**

**2 Dispatch**

**3 Manufactured items and Goods in Putaway**

**4 Cycle counting**

Run inventory reports cards for the items or location being cycle counted via computer system. Ensure that stock is safely and accurately counted. Carry out a full Investigation and report to the Warehouse Team Leader / Warehouse Manager any discrepancies found. Update inventory record via computer system.

**5 Export Consignment Stock**

Ensure items are picked and packed correctly, and follow any special instruction given. Ensure that all sale orders are allocated via computer system. Generate all dispatch notes via computer system. Ensure that all pallets are marked with the correct delivery address, weight and size of pallets.

**6 Daily task management and allocation of work to the stores team members**

Help to escalate point in the first instance for all daily queries

Help in accessing team workloads allocating resource to the areas required

Identify any training requirements for the stores team members and discuss with the Warehouse Team Leader / Warehouse Manager

Help provide solutions and suggestions to the team on any daily issues

Relay any issue to the Warehouse Team Leader / Warehouse Manager in connection with the production team identifying any potential issues at the earliest opportunity.

Proactively identify tasks that require actioning, if possible complete, or request help from Warehouse Team Leader. Lead by example setting the highest possible standards for your team to follow

**Dimensions**:
Use of hand vibrating tools and hand tools when required

Use and wear PPE when required

Regularly lift / move items of 10kg and occasionally up to 25kg within safe lifting guide lines

Frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel and crouch.

Use substances covered under the COSHH regulations

**Secondary Activities / Tasks**

Attend Health Surveillance meetings as appropriate, adherence to all Company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices

Attend training courses and participate in “on the job” training, to develop skills

Take on additional duties after training and qualification

May be required to show or explain processes to visitors

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Logistics Department

Offer suggestions to the Warehouse Manager at any time for anything that will improve the efficiency and/or safety of the Stores

Responsible for good housekeeping of the Warehouse area

GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

Fork lift Truck Licences

Counterbalance to cover up to 10ton

Reach Truck

3 ton side loader

Battery operated pallet truck

Battery operated stacked truck

Other Machinery

Scissor lift, Pallet wrapper,

Dalmec Lifting Machine

Use of Renaissance software

Use of computer software / Scanner

**Skills**

Physically able to work in a Stores area

Ability to interpret instructions

Ability to work unsupervised in an efficient manner

Computer literate in the use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
