Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK. **What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Responsible for the delivery of a range of HR services providing strategic and specialist employee relations advice, particularly in relation to our medical workforce; interpreting legislation and national policy/guidance to lead the development of the employee relations strategy for medical staff across the organisation.
- Interpret legislation and policy to support the development of a Trust wide Employee Relations strategy; regular horizon scanning to ensure that the Trust is prepared and able to respond effectively to planned legislative changes.
- Develop excellent collaborative working relationships with senior leaders across the organisation to enable partnership working in the delivery of projects and improvements and to facilitate cultural change.
- Take the lead on a range of strategic workforce projects aiming to deliver transformation and innovation in the employment, recruitment and retention, deployment, productivity and working practices of medical and dental staff at all levels, in collaboration with colleagues.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Experience of developing and implementing workforce strategies in line with organisational objectives
- Experience of analysing and interpreting data, and presenting complex data and reports to applicable to a wide range of different audiences
- In depth understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on the NHS
- Thorough and up to date knowledge of HR best practice, employment legislation and current thinking and developments in HR
- Considerable experience of working in an autonomous way, working within defined parameters to meet defined objectives
