**About the Role**

We are looking for a talented Garment Technologist to cover Maternity leave working 4 days per week in a hybrid role.

**Main responsibilities**:

- To have a close relationship with the Design and Production team
- Building a good relationship with overseas Suppliers
- Working closely with the Design team creating initial Tech packs to clearly communicate shape, measurements, construction and fit to the factory.
- Seeing all product through from initial design to production
- Preparing all garments for the fit session
- measuring, organising, checking last comments were actioned, pinpointing quality or fit issues for the fit session.
- Co-ordinating fit sessions, fitting and recording notes directly onto specs. Must be confident in fit sessions to advise.
- Communicating clear and concise fit comments to Overseas suppliers ensure that that quality and performance standards are understood and consistent across manufacturer’s.
- Confident across all categories, updating construction details, measurements, grading and trim sheet where required.
- Ensuring that all Tech packs are up to date with any changes to season, drop, fabric, trim, wash, construction, factory, grading or design.
- Shared the responsibility of sample management
- Ensure that the Critical Path dates are met, flag up any issues with the Production Manager.
- Maintaining our excel document as to what stage styles are at
- confirming dates, tracking and chasing in samples. Checking the Critical path and flagging any delays or issues.
- Managing QC issues, liaising closely with the warehouse team and flagging up any issues with the Production Manager
- Reviewing customer returns and analysing information across channels. Reporting back to the Management any key points
- Organising a fit review for production samples with Design and Production
- Working closely with the web team/ Art team to ensure that the product is clearly represented online through photographs and descriptions.
- Conduct product reviews in line with the competitor’s fit and quality.
- Risk assessment of all Test reports sent from the Mills and Factory’s to flag up any issues. Chasing in any test reports which are missing.
- Approving and advising on care label washcare and artwork.
- Ensuring that compliance with product safety and reach legislation is followed. Carrying out a risk assessment on each style, flag up any non compliance items with the Production Manager to then resolve efficiently and effectively.

**About You**
- Minimum of 5 Years years experience as a Garment Technologist
- Multi product experience as Garment Technologist within Womenswear
- Good communication skills with a friendly and efficient approach
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word/ Excel/ Powerpoint
- Organisational and time management skills essential
- Experience with working directly with factory’s and agents overseas
- Strong knowledge of garment construction methods and manufacturing sewing methods, including pattern making and grading.
- Good understanding of fabric testing and risk assessment
- Able to grow and adapt to a fast pace environment.
