**Department: Firearms Licensing (SOU)**

**Scale: SC3/4**

**Salary: £21,432 - £25,353 Pro rata**

**Location: Melton**

**Hours: 30 hours**

**Contract: Permanent**

Humberside Police are recruiting for a Firearms Licensing Administrator, to provide specialist advice and guidance to Police Officers and Police Staff relating to Firearms Legislation.

The role involves interrogating systems and electronic records to resolve any anomalies and update and maintain records when issuing new certificates or renewals.

You will be required to actively resolve complaints received via the telephone and letters, ensuring all complaints are handled in a sensitive manner and resolved effectively, including the seizure of firearms if appropriate, escalate it to the Firearms Licensing Manager as necessary.

We are specifically looking for applicants who can demonstrate the below:

- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Administrative experience
- Experience of using IT systems and Microsoft Packages
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and completing tasks within specified deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload

**Further Information**:
It is not likely that closing dates will be extended, other than in exceptional circumstances and would need to be with the permission of the Recruitment Manager and Line Manager of the role.
