We are looking for an experienced and passionate **Mental Health Support Worker** to work as part of our **Derbyshire Recovery & Peer Support Service.**

**Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service **offers a variety of support options including 1-1 support with a Mental Health Recovery Worker, peer support groups, wellbeing hubs, telephone support and volunteering opportunities. We are a forward thinking innovative service who work in a recovery and strength based approach to mental health support, setting manageable goals and supporting individuals to achieve independence around what they identify.

**How you will make a difference**

You will provide key worker support to a specified number of service users, including one to one individual support and liaison with other mental health agencies on behalf of people who use our services

You will have the individual’s needs at the fore at all times, working to the recovery model and using communication, motivation and coaching skills to support the service user to achieve their goals and aspirations

You will develop a rapport with service users based on respect and honesty, the post holder will at all times work within clear professional boundaries and the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct

You will enable and encourage service users to find out about local services and facilities within their community and facilitate access to alternative services where specific needs are identified

You will be familiar with individual Care/Recovery Plans and support people who use our services in achieving their goals.

You will encourage service users to recognise, understand and manage factors that affect their mental wellbeing and physical health

***Appointments will be at the minimum of the band**.**
