What you will be doing:
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:

- Motivation, goal setting, performance management and professional development of the operations team.
- Responsible for HSE excellence, setting the highest standard of HSE compliance in accordance with the corporate values and legislative requirements.
- Management and load/capacity planning of an agile operations environment that delivers the requirements of both production and R&T activities for a high-value industry.
- Deliver a high operational utilisation of machine capacity through effective asset care regimes, consumable management and long and short-term resource planning.
- Champion a continuous improvement ethos that will ensure the ‘factory of the future’ vision is upheld through the use of digital tools, 5S standards, visual management tools, KANBAN etc.
- Work synonymously with the Manufacturing Engineering AM Producibility / NPI team to ensure design intent is upheld through rigorous quality standards.
- Support the MEM in implementing the AM Strategy to maximise the long-term benefits of AM

Who we’re looking for:

- Degree Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a relevant engineering discipline, however this is not essential as experience is equally beneficial.
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues and customers at all levels and happy to challenge conventional processes and ways of thinking.
- Experience working with disruptive technologies and/or engaging with multiple complex operational projects simultaneously would be advantageous.
- Experience in team-leadership in an operational setting is preferred.
- Experience of the quality standards in high-value industries such as Civil Aerospace, Marine, Nuclear and Defence is preferred.
- Knowledge of metal AM technologies, namely Laser Powder Bed Fusion or Direct Energy Deposition, would be preferred.
