**About this role**:
This apprenticeship program offers a comprehensive introduction to Finance and the chance to obtain industry-recognised qualifications whilst working alongside experienced finance professionals. You will begin as a level 3 apprentice with progression opportunities to level 7 over 39 months and will interact across the Finance teams in both Preston and Warwick.

**On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for**:

- **Payroll Support**
- Support the payroll function in maintaining the Time & Attendance system, with particular focus on operational employees.
- Maintain Kronos schedules and reports for authorisation.
- Creation of clock cards
- Assistance with payroll reconciliations
- **Accounts Payable Support**
- Management of shared accounts payable mailbox.
- Assist in management of accounts payable queries through interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. Examples include, but not limited to, aged good received not invoiced, invoice queries, purchase order queries.
- Supplier statement reconciliations.
- Invoice processing - matching & registering supplier invoices in the ERP system.
- Assist in audit on supplier payment terms.
- **Management Accounting Support**
- Support Finance Business Partners (FBPs) in their analysis including, but not limited to, creation of data from appropriate systems for preparation of reports.
- Processing of accruals and journals on behalf of FBPs.
- Ownership of control of specific areas of costs e.g. utilities, rental equipment.
- Support FBPs in relation to headcount/ FTE reporting.
- Other ad hoc projects and analysis as required to support the finance team and own professional development.

**About you**
- Have a minimum of 5 GSCEs at Grade A*-C, including Maths (minimum Grade B) and English (minimum Grade C).
- Possess IT skills and have a working knowledge of Windows-based packages.
- Be able to work as part of a team, maintaining a good supportive relationship with team members and all other staff.
- Hold a positive attitude and a ‘can do’ attitude to all tasks presented to them.
- Be able to operate to high standards of professional conduct and competency, upholding integrity at all times.
