We are recruiting for an Apprenticeship Finance Assistant for our site in Garforth, Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for their first step into a finance career, a permanent role will be available at the end of the apprenticeship.

Dawsongroup material handling is part of the UK’s largest asset rental company, Dawsongroup plc and leading provider of material handling equipment.

The Apprenticeship Finance Assistant will provide administrative support to the finance team by managing daily accounting tasks and maintaining spreadsheets for the department and working with sales and purchase ledgers and journals.

As the Apprenticeship Finance Assistant you will learn how to:

- Support credit control and chase late payments
- Maintain accurate and detailed customer records
- Create new customer accounts
- Post and record cash received on the sales ledger
- Raise, update and check invoices
- Prepare and process the monthly direct debits

The successful Apprenticeship Finance Assistant will hold:

- Competency in IT including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot numerical errors
