This school is a large primary school based in Gosforth (excellent transport links close by), this school require staff to work from 8:30 - 15:30.

This school are looking for a Behavioural Specialist that holds previous UK experience working in schools, and holds a passion for working with students that have ADHD & behavioural needs.

Working under the guidance of a friendly and dedicated SENCO, you will be responsible for supporting young pupils with ADHD and other SEN.

**The ideal Behavioural Specialist**:

- Will be hardworking, dedicated, and committed to a long-term post
- Has excellent communication skills
- Holds the ability to deal with challenging behaviour
- Should have a Teaching Assistant Qualification, Degree, NVQ or relevant experience.
- Will have experience working within the education sector, as a support worker or will have personal experience working with SEN.

**Key responsibilities of the Behavioural Specialist**:

- Prepare learning materials under teacher supervision
- Working both in and outside the classroom to support individual learners or groups of learners
- Adapting your approach to learning based on a learner’s needs
- Look after children’s physical, social, and emotional welfare
- Creating a stimulating environment for the children you’ll be working with
- Provide teachers with help and any information that they need
