**Coffee Shop Supervisor**

**Contract**:Permanent - 2 x 40 hours (5 days from 7 on a rota basis) 2 x 24 hours (3 days from 7 on a rota basis)

**Salary**: £11 per hour (£22941.60 pro rata)

**Holidays**:25 days per year plus bank holidays (pro rata)

**Job Purpose**:
We are seeking to appoint a Café Supervisor to take responsibility for the day to day running of a busy, fast paced railway platform café, providing the highest possible standards of food and drink quality, ensuring excellence in customer service. To comply with environmental health and company standards whilst optimising revenue for the café.
- To work closely with Transport for Wales (TFW) to ensure specific tasks and procedures are followed whilst the café is open.
- This café is open 7 days a week, 6am to 6pm, and you will work with the Catering Manager and other supervisors to produce a weekly staff rota appropriate for the business.
- Be responsible, alongside the Catering Manager and other supervisors, for implementing the Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) food management procedure and ensure all staff are trained correctly.
- Responsible for daily cash handling, float management, cash banking, daily till reconciliation and accurate sales figure reporting.
- This is a hands-on role that requires you to supervise and assist with daily sales and cleaning practices to ensure high standards of hygiene and customer service are delivered consistently for both eat in and takeaway service
- You will assist in the development, planning and delivery of training for staff or volunteers/trainees when required or work program participants placed at the café
- To promote the ethos of Adferiad Recovery, CAIS Social Enterprises and the Porter’s brand, its various training programs and volunteering opportunities whenever appropriate.
- Ensure maintenance of the coffee shop is maintained, reporting any issues to the Catering manager for resolution.

**Person Specification**:

- Level 2 Food Hygiene or equivalent
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Food preparation and service
- Supervision of a team
- Cash handling
- Customer Service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage, organise and deal with multiple tasks
- Deal effectively with customers, staff and volunteers
- Barista Coffee Machine
- Office 365 Excel & Word
- Full car driver/owner is desirable
- Flexible working across week, including weekend work
