**Soane Britain is seeking an experienced upholsterer to join our Castle Cary upholstery team.**

**Purpose of the Position**:
Working alongside our highly skilled upholsterers you will be trained in both traditional and modern upholstery methods. After a lengthy training period you will be responsible for upholstering client and internal orders to a pre-approved standard with the materials and processes specified.

As a member of the team, you will also assist in ad hoc workshop tasks including tidying, moving and stocking up on materials.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Qualifications for the Position**:

- A Diploma or other qualification in upholstery.
- Ideally 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the exceptional standards for which Soane Britain is renowned.
- Good levels of concentration.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a can-do attitude, willing to actively contribute to the team and take initiative when necessary.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
- An enthusiasm for furniture making, willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Takes a safety conscious approach to work with an understanding of the safe use of workshop machinery, hand and air tools.
- Experience of remedial or restorative furniture work would be beneficial.

**Hours of work**:

- Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm
- Friday 8am-1pm
