Senior Practitioner

Our Day Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate practitioner to work alongside our small, friendly team to help develop our children into independent, curious learners.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Act as a Key Person to a small group of children, observing and recording their development and next steps, and building an effective relationship with parents and carers.
- Help in setting up a prepared environment, pack away at the end of the session, and assist in the day to day running of the preschool.
- Act in a professional manner, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Liaise with outside agencies as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and attend staff meetings/training sessions outside working hours when required.

Qualifications and Skills
- Required relevant childcare and education Level 2 or 3 qualification.
- Hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and knowledge of child protection procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a sound knowledge of English.
- Good time-keeping and organisational skills.
- Must have a clear DBS

The position is Monday-Friday, shift work between the hours of 7am and 6:30 pm/

Pay: From £9.50 per hour
