Full/Part-time experienced Conveyancing solicitors/CILEX/Paralegal needed by a small but well established Solicitors in Banbury which provides a supportive and friendly working atmosphere.

Real prospects and competitive salary are on offer. The position is for 12 months maternity cover initially but may well become a permanent position. Part-time hours considered.

The holder of this position will:

- Be a Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive with experience in residential conveyancing.
- Be a Paralegal with some form of qualification/ training (either formal or work based) with at least 3-5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with Partners, staff and outside Agencies.
- Have an ongoing sound knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures.
You will running a proportion of the firm's Conveyancing Department. You will report directly to the Senior Partner.

You will be expected to take responsibility for all files under your control but can meet with the Senior Partner at any time for any queries. You will have at least one part-time Secretary/Assistant.

Your day-to-day functions can be summarised as follows:

- Transacting all relevant legal work arising from the files under your immediate control in relation to residential conveyancing. Experience with commercial conveyancing is not required but is desirable.

Be able to handle all residential conveyancing transactions and transfers from start to finish. Any queries can be referred to the senior partner for advice/ support at any time.

Be able to prepare contracts, first registrations, transfers etc. as well as investigate title and understand searches. Be able to raise enquiries and identify issues and liaise with clients and estate agents.

Attending Training Courses/ CQS training if required.

Experienced in the use of case management software and able to produce completion statements and receipts for client funds received and paid out.

Ideal start date would be early February 2023.
