VISITING LECTURERS FOR HEALTH STUDIES

The University of Chester’s Centre for Foundation Studies is seeking to appoint Visiting Lecturers to teach on our Health Studies module on the foundation year portion of our four-year degrees.

The Centre for Foundation Studies teaches over 400 students undertaking the first (foundation) year of their four-year integrated bachelor’s degree prior to progressing into faculties. Our teaching focus is on transition to higher education and there is an expectation that all teaching staff are able to support student engagement and retention and progression strategies.

Modules at the Centre are taught in blocks. Block A includes 11 teaching weeks and runs from September to December. Block B includes 12 teaching weeks and runs from January to April. Health Studies is taught 4.5 hours per week in block A.

The hourly rate includes the use of current teaching and learning materials and the creation and marking of students’ assessments.
