**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Ensure good customer relations at all times and to be courteous, friendly and helpful to the customer at all times.
- Activate, maintain and control the petrol pump console, advising customers by use of the tannoy if necessary.
- Regularly check operation of equipment, advising management immediately of malfunctions.
- Collect payments for fuel and shop goods by both cash and credit transactions, issuing receipts as required.
- Ensure all fuel is paid for and Customers are asked if they have had any fuel at the pay point.
- Ensure security of monies at all times & ensure that cash in excess of the till ‘safe drop’ limit is placed in canisters/bags and put immediately into the safe.
- Ensure compliance of oneself and customers with the Petroleum Licence, Health & Safety at Work Act 1971 and other relevant regulations.
- Ensure forecourt, stores and shop are kept tidy and sales items well presented.
- For sites with hot cabinets - these must be kept stocked at appropriate times, at the correct temperatures and cleaned daily.
- Ensure merchandise on the shelves and displays are always topped up from stock and dates rotated.
- Advise customers on product uses and limitations, seeking technical advice as required.
- Open up and close down forecourt area as required, punctually.
- Complete cashing-up procedures at end of shift.
- Ensure the shop & customer toilet is kept clean & tidy at all times and Cleaning Rotas completed.
- Complete the online training courses organised by the company in relation to your job.
- Maximise sales in the shop at all times and assist with any promotions, i.e. handing out vouchers and leaflets.
- Receive goods delivered to the station, including fuel deliveries.
- Treat in the strictest confidence any information received concerning the company's policies, sales or trade figures.
- Comply with all procedures in Staff Toolkit and Security Guide for Cashiers.
- Report any incidents or accidents to the Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Display and control return of daily newspapers where applicable.
- Take pump or tank readings as requested by the Manager.
- Assist the Store Manager with all areas of store operation, remerchandising and stock rotation
- Receiving & checking off deliveries from suppliers
- Opening and closing down procedures
- Must be punctual, reliable and responsible
- To enjoy working in fast paced, varied environment

**Salary**: £21,500.00-£22,500.00 per year
