Employability Tutor required for a high achieving trust of SEND schools in North East London.
Location: E11, Walthamstow, North East London
Start Date: Subject to notice period
Contract Details: Full Time, all year round

**Salary**: £34,000 per annum
About the job:
We are looking for a post-16 Employability Tutor to work with young people with SEND. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals delivering ASDAN Employability qualifications to certification level and be involved in the daily operational deliveryof the programme assessing needs. You will support Interns in the base room office and improve the communication skills and independence of Interns.
Throughout the year-long programme, interns receive intensive, personalised support from exceptional mentors (and job coaches) who ensure they feel secure and comfortable every step of the way. Support will be given to Interns to give them the confidence tospeak to new people or identifying ways to work through a list of tasks. This support enables our interns to excel in their placements and become highly-valued team members making a meaningful contribution to their placements.
About you:
Educated to BA degree level or Foundation Degree Level.
Higher level teaching qualification e.g. Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate Education (PGCE) Level 5 Diploma.
Ability to form and maintain positive and effective relationships with Interns, colleagues, and other professionals.
Be able to identify barriers to learning and plan appropriate programmes to address them.
Sound understanding of specialist teaching and learning strategies and how to deliver them in a person-centred way.
