**CNC Turner - Precision Engineering**

**Compensation**:

- Base salary of up to £17.00 per hour (£34,500 per annum)
- Overtime pay of up to £25.50 per hour (Time and a Half of the hourly rate)
- Excellent earning potential with ample hours available
- Standard work week of 39 hours with a Friday finish at 12:00 mid-day

**Location**:

- Based in the Cambourne - Gamlingay - St. Neots area
- Own transport required due to location

**Position Details**:

- Permanent, full-time position
- Immediate start available

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and program Doosan 3 axis Lathes and Haas machines to produce precision components as per engineering specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to determine machining operations and set up requirements.
- Utilise measuring equipment like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure the accuracy and quality of machined components.
- Inspect finished components to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring proper maintenance and servicing of machines.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and enhance efficiency.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
- Beneficial to have experience operating Doosan 3 axis Lathes and Haas machines.
- Proficient in setting up, operating, and programming CNC lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Strong knowledge of measuring equipment and effective usage.
- Attention to detail with the ability to inspect components for quality and accuracy.
- City & Guilds qualifications or apprenticeship in Engineering would be advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Hours**:

- 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Early finish on Fridays).
- Start time: 7:30 am.
- Finish times: Monday 4:00 pm, Tuesday 4:30 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 5:00 pm, and Friday 12:00 mid-day.
