**Production Manager**

Velden Engineering (UK) Limited are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager with the ability to lead and develop a mid-sized team. The successful Production Manager will be tasked with increasing production whilst maintaining a hands-on approach to their team. Previous experience of managing a machine shop floor team and have strong engineering background is essential.

**What the role entails**:

- Ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently to meet customer requirements within agreed KPIs
- Planning and organising the production schedule
- Report to CEO / Senior Management team
- Manage Section Leaders and Shop floor operatives
- Ensure labour costs are managed within agreed levels
- Investigate and rectify underperformance within each section
- Ensure team members are adequately trained
- Ensure sickness and absence issues are well managed within Company policies
- Work with HR to manage disciplinary issues
- Ensure all quality standards for your area of operation are understood by team members and are being consistently met
- Ensure all company and departmental H&S procedures are strictly adhered to by all team members
- Ensure all team members are issued with and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ensure all housekeeping requirements are met for the workplace

**To be suitable for this Production Manager role you must have the following experience / characteristics**:

- Experience of working at managerial level
- Have experience managing within a fast paced operation, making sure orders are manufactured and despatched on time in full
- A proven track record of man management leading your team to a significant improvement in productivity and quality
- Have managed multiple separate production processes, that need to come together effectively to satisfy customer requirements
- Experience of and Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience of dealing with sickness absence/disciplinary & grievance issues
- Good communication skills (written/verbal)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
