Casual support workers required at Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Domiciliary Service

The Adult Disability Service provides a wide range of flexible support services across all the districts of Lancashire to adults who have disabilities. We are a well-established provider business with a workforce of around 1,400 staff and our vision is to support adults who have a disability to live the lives they want. We currently support around 1,300 people. We aim to achieve this by offering high quality, personalised services that promote independence and opportunities for people to develop and learn. The service supports adults in their own homes

The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission, people choosing to access our service can expect a high level of quality. In delivering a quality service to our customers we invest in our workforce by offering both induction and specialist training alongside supervision and team work, this enables staff to support individuals effectively.

We have ongoing opportunities for people interested in supporting adults who have a disability and who share the values and aspirations through which we deliver our services. These opportunities are offered on a casual basis for a whole range of hours.

**What you need **to be able to offer or be willing to learn;**

You would be expected to work with individuals in a way that reflects a person-centred approach and also have the ability to work as part of a team. You would need to be able to communicate with a range of people including people with disabilities, their family members, other staff and professionals and with people in the local community.

The role of a support worker includes supporting individuals with all aspects of their personal plan which can include personal care, maintaining health, enabling people to take part in a wide range of social and leisure activities in the local community and supporting people to live in their own homes, including overnight support and weekend support.
