**Job Opportunity: Trainee Estimator (Sheet Metal)**

**Salary**: £25,000k per year (Negotiable based on Experience)

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary that rewards your expertise. **Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Quotation Production**: Generate accurate quotations for sales inquiries by interpreting technical drawings and samples. Utilize ERP systems to ensure precise costing reports and Bills of Materials (Training Given).
- ** Cost Optimization**: Identify opportunities to reduce costs within designs, contributing to the overall efficiency of the production process.
- ** Shop Floor Optimization**: Build works routers with a focus on practical shop floor flow, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: Evaluate the effectiveness of the design process, proposing enhancements and efficiencies to drive continuous improvement.
**Key Skills**:
- ** Sheet Metal Experience**: Demonstrated proficiency in working with sheet metal.
- ** Technical Proficiency**: Ability to interpret technical drawings and samples. Basic experience using CAD software is preferred.
- ** ERP Knowledge**: Familiarity with MIE Pro is advantageous. Experience with MRP/ERP systems is desirable.
- ** Independence**: Capable of working independently while maintaining accurate records.
- ** Attention to Detail**: Thorough and meticulous, with a keen eye for detail.
- ** Organization**: Highly organized, focused, and results-oriented.
- ** Problem-Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills, especially in manufacturing scenarios.
- ** Communication**: Adaptive communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- ** Sales Experience**: Previous sales experience is advantageous.
**COVID-19 Precautions**:
- Plastic shields at workstations.
- Rigorous sanitization, disinfection, and cleaning procedures in place.
**Work Schedule**:
- Day shift.
- Monday to Thursday 08.00am - 17.00pm.
- 08.00am - 15.00pm Friday.
**Supplemental Pay Types**:
- Bonus scheme.
**Experience**:
- Sheet metal experience : 4 years (preferred).
- Reading technical drawings: 4 years (preferred).
