This is an exciting opportunity to work in a Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor post within the inpatient Adult Medical and Care of The elderly physiotherapy team at Glan Clwyd Hospital
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has the skills and ability to engage well with their patients, can work under supervision as well as independently, support innovation and training, and has the ability to work in a team and a flexible approach to work. A caring and friendly person who has the ability to get on with people in a mature and positive way.
Relevant evidence of experience in patient care and rehabilitation is desired. You would carry your own caseload of non-complex patients with supervision and support from qualified therapists.
You will also have experience of using highly skilled handling techniques to facilitate patient movement, and/or rehabilitation, implementing exercise and rehabilitation programmes. You will work with others in the team in the treatment of patients.
- To assist the qualified physiotherapist in the overall physiotherapy management of patients in collaboration with carers, support workers, health staff and agencies.
- Under the direction and guidance of the qualified physiotherapist, to manage and be responsible for their own clinical caseload of clients, following therapeutic programmes in order to improve their physical abilities and to minimise disabilities.
- To work independently using own initiative, within level of competence.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
