We are a family-run business that believes in internal development, with skilled teams and a lively community-oriented atmosphere. We are now looking to recruit a Technical Sales Lead to strengthen our market visibility and expand our customer base.
**THE ROLE**:
As a Technical Sales Lead, you will play a crucial role within the company, reporting directly to the Sales Director. Your main task will involve closing around £30m worth of new deals annually, with deal values typically falling between £1m to £5m.
Supported by a high-performing team, you will have significant influence on the bidding process. Your responsibilities will include developing sales strategies, establishing a robust sales pipeline, and driving the company's expansion. Regular reporting and sales forecasting for your area will also form part of your duties.
Your role will entail identifying buyers' pain points, navigating intricate decision-making structures, understanding the construction industry and its technical requirements, as well as showcasing strong presentation skills. You will be expected to build and nurture long-term relationships with your clients and help deliver a great customer experience.

- Be able to actively listen, allowing you to analyse prospective customer needs, determine client requirements and ascertain potential solutions. You should also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be proficient in demonstrating our range of products to specifiers, contractors, and installers.
- Have general knowledge of regulations governing balconies and walkways, particularly fire rating requirements.
- Possess a valid UK driving license.
- Be resilient with a positive ‘can do’ attitude to your job.
- Be willing to continually grow, develop and learn new skills.
- Excel at finding new opportunities and be able to rapidly grow new territories and markets.
- Be a committed team player, with a high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills and time-management abilities.
- Be able to hit agreed targets, and where possible, exceed them.
