Pcv Driver

Positive Employment is currently recruiting an PCV Driver for our client based in Camden, North London area.

The successful post holder will drive passenger carrying vehicles and other vehicles on scheduled and non-scheduled services ,and ensure the safe carriage and welfare of passengers’ from the collection point to the delivery point.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

- Drive 16-32 & 52 Seater Buses from sites within and external to the LB of Camden as required.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness and check all relevant equipment alongside maintaining and updating data logs as required.
- Plan and map out journey routes as scheduled each day.
- Ensure safety and wellbeing of transport users throughout the journey and handover from and to: residence / parent / guardian / carer; primary helper at school; or to care assistants at centres.
- Assist passengers’ to board and alight vehicles utilising appropriate means, including physically assisting passengers with severe disabilities.
- To load/unload commodities/goods/vehicle equipment and ensure safe transit.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Enhanced DBS (essential).
- Full valid UK driving license (with Max 3 points).
- Has a Tacho card.
- Will be required to take Camden's Driving Assessment Checks (and pass).
- Has the ability to communicate with clients with poor communication skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety in this area.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £17.83 per hour
