We are looking for a dedicated and committed individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Foundation Learning and Learning for Life. As an integral part of the Curriculum and Quality Directorate, you will report to the Curriculum Manager and will have a vital role in providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to guarantee positive learner achievements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students enrolled in a range of courses as assigned by the line manager.
- Implementing appropriate feedback and assessment systems to accurately check learning and adapting teaching to ensure individualised learner progress.
- Operating within the Quality Assurance framework and contributing to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation.
- Maintaining a professional learning environment in the classroom and supporting vulnerable learners and those with SEND to achieve high standards across all elements of their curriculum and personal development.
- Developing and using high-quality resources and teaching materials which meet course frameworks and learning outcomes.
- Consistently challenging lateness and attendance concerns and establishing relationships with individual students and groups to facilitate awareness of problems and difficulties.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification
- Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification
- Track record of successful teaching experience across a range of levels including up to level 3
- Understanding of value added and the use of progress performance measures
- Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning.
- Ability to provide clear, direct and constructive written and verbal feedback
- Ability to inspire, motivate and raise the aspirations of learners through high-quality teaching
- Ability to maintain a disciplined learning environment promoting high expectations of all learners.
