Job description

We are looking for a part time Data Officer to join our growing team to work closely with Senior Data and Compliance Manager to process MQ donation data and manage MQ’s CRM (Raiser’s Edge NXT).

**Job Title: Data Officer (DO)**
**Time Commitment**:Part Time - 2 - 3 days / 14 - 21 hours, working pattern to be agreed with successful **applicant.**
**Contract Type**:Permanent Contract**
**Based at: MQ Office, London, EC1Y with high levels of remote and flexible working available.**
**Reporting to: Senior Data and Compliance Manager (SDCM)**
**Salary: £28,000 per annum**,** pro rata**

**About MQ Mental Health Research**
We already know a lot about IQ. We are learning ever more about the value of emotional intelligence or EQ. But our knowledge of Mental Health is way behind where it needs to be, and without research it’s just guesswork. We desperately need to improve our MQ Through research into Mental Health, we can develop better treatments and preventions so that everyone can have a healthy MQ.

We champion and fund world-class research to transform the lives of everyone affected by a mental health condition. We strive to create a world where mental illness is better understood, diagnosed, treated and, maybe someday, prevented. Research is the first step towards making that a reality.

**Role Summary**:

- Support in ensuring that Data Protection and other relevant legislation and best practices are adhered to, enabling us to operate lawfully and within the expectations of our supporters.
- Support staff with their data queries and being the first point of contact for supporters and colleagues for any RE NXT issues.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Income processing**:Liaise with SDCM and other departments to regularly process and code all donation incomes ahead of monthly reconciliation.
- **Constituent Management**:In order help to maintain a clean and healthy CRM, you will manage the importing of new records and the updating of existing ones to reflect their most current status including consent preferences.
- **Gift Aid Submission**:You will manage supporter Gift Aid declarations and submit claims on a quarterly basis.
- **Appeal Mailings**:You will support the Fundraising Team in Data segmentation ahead of Appeal Mailing Activities and making recommendations based on previous data performance. You will also ensure that agreed data protocols are followed.
- **CRM Management**:You will help maintain the integrity of our CRM by regularly running de-duping queries, and data cleansing in line with our Data Retention Policy. You will also work with Blackbaud to flag and resolve any data issues which cannot be easily rectified within the team.

**Person Specification**
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work to agreed deadlines and to cope with high volume of data processing.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy, especially when dealing with all aspects of data.
- Good knowledge of data software such as Raiser’s Edge and Excel
- Analytical capabilities with the ability to communicate data scenarios in a clear format.
- Ability to work in a team as well as utilise own initiative as need dictates.
- High level knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.
- Good level of knowledge Excel & Access
- Experience of utilising a database.
- Demonstrable ability to produce high quality work under pressure and to deadline.
- Ideally degree level or equivalent.
