Machine Operator

Our client based in Haslingden seeking experienced Machine Operator to join them on an ongoing basis. To ensure all machines are assembled and set up correctly ready for production by following company procedures that are in place. Maintaining efficiency with mínimal downtime. Daily inspection of all machine wearing parts to ensure they are all in optimum condition & all components are present.#

**Working hours**

Working a continental shift pattern 6-18/18-6, average of 40 hours per week over a 3 week rotating shift pattern.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assemble various packing/filling machines ready for production starters
- Keeping machines filled with product and packaging so production doesn't stop
- Dismantle clean and reassemble machines at the end of production shift
- Keeping workplace clean & tidy at all times
- Maintain optimum efficiency on machines
- To adhere to production schedule (running order and quantities).
- Identification and reporting of early warning signs for faults.
- To adhere to agreed quality standards in both product and packaging.
- Responsible for ensuring that quality assurance (weight and gauge) checks are regularly undertaken in accordance with quality procedures and accurately recorded on the data capture.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in machine operation, preferably with shredding equipment, is a plus.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and lift moderate loads as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring the accurate execution of shredding tasks.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to adhere to strict schedules.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Commitment to data security and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to document destruction is advantageous.

**Salary**: £11.59 ph & £1.93 shift allowance

**Salary**: £13.52 per hour
