Sports Coach

Opus Education are working closely with a School based near the St Austell ares which caters for pupils aged 11-16 with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Many pupils who attend this school have not had a previously good experienceat school and have been persistently absent from education. As a result, the pupils have large gaps in their learning and have low confidence levels in their academic ability.

- £70-£80 per day depending on experience
- The role is until the end of the academic year

As a sports coach you will be responsible for:

- Helping pupils to engage with their learning
- Be a learning coach and encourage pupils to engage with their education
- Use sports as a tool to encourage pupils
- Build positive relationships with pupils
- Praise good behaviour
- Deal with potentially difficult situations
The role will include using a person’s sports background to help to build relationships with students. The school seeks people with this background because people with this background display key competencies which are important to the school.
