An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our thriving marine sales, boatbuilding and boat repair business, established for over 60 years and which prides itself on excellent customer service and first-class workmanship.
In addition, they will possess the skills, drive and passion to take a proactive role in expanding our web shop offering with the aim of being one of the top online chandleries in the country.
**Post Requirements are to**:
- Assist the Chandlery Manager and the wider team in the day-to-day running of the chandlery.
- Follow up customer enquiries in order to maximise sales and exceed sales targets
- Be proactive in promoting the store and product range looking at ways to increase sales and customer awareness through sharing of product information, special offers, special events and use of social media.
- Contribute to the planning, organisation and maintenance of a vibrant shop floor and enhance the shopping experience. Participate in annual stock taking and special events.
- Process sales/orders, refunds/credits, quotations, invoices and balance payments accurately.
**Activities linked to the web sales role include**:
- Leading the development of the web shop
- Increasing existing product portfolio
- Setting up integration with existing parts system for stock management and pricing
- Integration of payment gateway
- Overseeing management and processing of all web sales
- SEO optimisation

Marine knowledge and experience desirable but not essential.
Half day Saturdays required on rota.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45.5 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
