We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council as an Engagement Officer (Felixstowe).

**Your role**:
The purpose of this role is to assist the Development Enabling Lead with the coordination and delivery of key Council-led strategic development sites. These projects seek to deliver on Local Plan allocations and the Council’s strategic ambition to deliver housing and leisure growth on its own land.

The role will be focussed on engagement with the community and stakeholders and other landowners. It will require close coordination and leadership of consultants and colleagues. This will also require close engagement with elected members to seek endorsement of projects as they progress. This responsibility will straddle multiple teams of the council require strong partnership working with Economic Development/Regeneration, Housing, Assets and Planning Teams, all who provide a wide range of skilled and innovative officers to complement the process and programme.

**What you will need**:
You will need proven project delivery experience in stakeholder and community engagement to help drive forward the Council’s strategic ambition across a number of priority sites. You will need to be a highly motivated self-starter, with excellent interpersonal skills and creativity.

Experience of working on regeneration projects in the built environment is preferred as is local knowledge of the Felixstowe Peninsular and the wider East Suffolk.
