Due to internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a talented Sales Director (Scotland & North) to join award-winning manufacturer Liniar Ltd, based in Denby, Derbyshire - a subsidiary of the US-based Quanex group.

Liniar is an industry leading PVCu extrusion company, designing and supplying a large portfolio of PVCu and aluminium profiles and products to a nationwide customer base of specialist window and door manufacturers, housebuilders, decking installers, landscapers and trade outlets.

Liniar has achieved substantial, sustainable growth to £150M turnover over the last 10 years and is now looking to advance this to the next level by strengthening its Sales team to support its ambitious growth plans - including expanding the manufacturing footprint from 400K ft² to over 750K ft² during 2024/2025.

The Sales Director will focus on developing sales strategies for the window market, that deliver the company’s growth and revenue targets. The Sales Director will be responsible for maximizing the company’s sales potential through the existing customer base and new business opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- To be responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining a strong and long-term relationship and maximising sales opportunities within them
- To achieve growth and exceed sales targets through developing and supporting existing customers; and expanding the customer base
- To design and meet strategic sales plans through expanding the existing and new customer base
- To maintain accurate and on-time forecast reporting
- To generate new business through a variety of resources such as cold calling, existing contacts, site visits and enquiries
- To present sales and revenue reports and forecasts to the Group Sales Director
- To identify emerging markets and be fully aware of new products and the competition status within the industry
- To attend exhibitions when applicable and shows to proactively generate new leads

**Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and oral
- Strong organisation skills, ability to plan own work and prioritise effectively
- Excellent Influencing and relationship building skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proactive approach
- Previous experience as a Sales Representative or Sales Manager, consistently meeting/ exceeding targets is essential

**Desirable Skills**:

- Knowledge of the industry sector (Windows), would be desirable
- Degree in a Business-related field is desirable
