Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counter Supervisor to join our team at Bideford.
**The Role**
Supporting the Branch Manager within our **Bideford Branch** in running the branchs day to day activities, involving all operating processes and procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team promoting the Companys vision, values and aspirations at all times.
- Build effective relationships with customers thus optimising sales and customer service.
- Providing guidance and support to counter staff ensuring their training is adequate and complete.
- Use initiative to identify and resolve customer/product problems or issues.
- Through initiative and ideas pro-actively identify new sales opportunities to assist in the maximising of sales and margin.
- Develop personal product knowledge to enhance service to customers.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and frequently merchandised counter and shop.
- Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained in line with company policy.
- Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times.
- Take a pro-active approach in ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers, reporting and responding to any potential H & S concerns/issues.
- Perform any other reasonable duty as may be required by the company.
**The Requirements**
- Sales Techniques: Knowledge of counter and telephone sales techniques including advanced sales, merchandising and maximising margin.
- Advanced Systems & Branch Procedures: Knowledge of branch administration, audit trail and supply chain awareness.
- Product Knowledge: Specific knowledge of the product lines used in branch
**The Hours**
Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00 Saturday overtime on a Rota basis
