Bank Hostess

Spire Liverpool Hospital are looking to recruit a Bank Host to join our fantastic and dedicated Hospitality Team.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Observe all dietary requirements as identified on nurses list and ensure patient’s menu choice is compatible. Refer choices to chef on duty.
- Responsible for the service of food and beverages to patients and visitors.
- Convey compliments and complaints relating to food and food services to the Chef or HSM.
- Report to nursing staff patients who may be experiencing eating difficulties e.g. poor appetite, difficulty in swallowing or chewing.
- Responsible for the prompt collection of all used trays, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Washing of light equipment, drying and placing in the correct storage location.
- Ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the pantry in compliance with hygiene training. Cleaning tasks must be completed and signed for.
- To clean all areas as designated by the Hotel Services Manager/Team Leader to the required standard.

**Who we're looking for**
- No formal qualifications are required you must be able to communicate with other members of staff and patients clearly and your personal appearance must be of a high standard, expected in a professional healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable but not essential
- Customer service skills are essential
- Good listening and communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Ability to work on own initiative and with a methodical approach to work
- Need to able to build and maintain good relationships with customers
