**Who we are**:
St David’s Hospice is a local charity providing hospice care to adult patients across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. Currently, we have three clinical sites, and a Hospice at Home service, and our café and 20 retail outlets across North West Wales play an important role in supporting our services.

**What you’ll do**:
St David’s Hospice are searching for a temporary Senior Finance Assistant for **maternity cover**. As a Senior Finance Assistant you will be a key member of the Finance Department, you will be responsible for Payroll & Pensions, Payments and Management Accounting for St Davids Hospice and St Davids Promotions.

They will be highly professional and organised, with the ability to self-manage their time.

We are looking for someone who will:

- Collect monthly payroll information from department managers and HR team for St Davids Hospice and St Davids Promotions
- Produce monthly master payroll documents and liaise with external Bureau to ensure correct employee salaries are paid
- Producing payroll and pensions analysis for the Hospice Management Team where necessary and reconcile associated control accounts on a monthly basis
- Complete bank reconciliations for all St Davids Hospice and St Davids Promotions bank accounts
- Reporting and investigation of banking discrepancies, liaising with relevant Managers to resolve issues

**To do the role you’ll need**:

- Ideally you will have 2 years experience in a similar accounting role
- AAT L2 or equivalent in terms of qualification
- Ideally you will have some experience in retail and /or catering and /or charity sectors
- You will be detail driven
- Confident communicator and be able to maintain strong interdepartmental working across the Hospice.
- Empathy for the Hospice, and alignment with the charity’s values.
