**Building Surveyor**

**Salary**: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on experience

**Role**: Permanent, Full time

**Location**: Hybrid, flexible working in Surrey or SW London

**About us**:
Surrey Surveyors are a team of Chartered Surveyors working in Surrey, SW London and the surrounding counties.

Our surveyors combine their expertise as fully qualified RICS Surveyors with in-depth local knowledge to provide specialist RICS Condition, Level 2 Homebuyer & Level 3 Building Surveys, Party Wall Services and RICS Valuations.

We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service, expert knowledge of the local area and our RICS certified surveying team. We are a small but growing team and put a big emphasis on entrepreneurship and teamwork.

We are looking for a fully qualified MRICS Building Surveyor to help grow and expand our business. You will be responsible for conducting residential surveys, identifying and analysing defects, and providing expert advice to our clients. Full training in our systems will be provided. We use the RICS official templates to undertake our surveys. If you have experience in valuation and Party Wall services, this would be a bonus.

**Building Surveyor - Main duties**:

- Conduct comprehensive building surveys and homebuyer reports of residential properties.
- Identify and analyse defects, building regulations breaches, and potential health and safety hazards.
- Prepare detailed reports with clear recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or refurbishment works.
- Advise clients on building pathology, energy efficiency, and sustainable construction methods.
- Assist with project management tasks, including costings, scheduling, and procurement.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and legislation.
- May be required to act as an expert witness in legal proceedings.

**Do you have**:

- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Full MRICS qualification and passed APC.
- Experience working as a Building Surveyor.
- Must be able to carry out RICS Level 2 Homebuyers Report and RICS Level 3 Building Survey.
- Desirable but not essential - A registered valuer for residential valuations.
- Excellent technical knowledge of building construction, materials, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
