Youth Worker

**Main Purpose of Role**

**Responsible for development and delivery of Youth Cymru’s youth work projects, programmes, activities and training.**

**Key Duties Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities**

1. Working with young people, professionals and organisations to delivery of Youth Cymru’s projects, programmes, activities, fund raising and training opportunities.

2. Develop and maintain productive working relationships and partnerships with Youth Cymru’s membership and other stakeholders for youth work,

3. Facilitate a range of informalaccredited and not accredited learning opportunities for young people to gain skills, knowledge, and broaden their horizons and aspirations for the future.

4. Advocate with, and on behalf of, young people so that their interests and needs are identified

and represented to decision making bodies ensuring the voices of young people are promoted.

5. Contribute to the planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of the impact of activities, events, projects and consultation with young people to inform current project reporting and future project development.

6. Implement good self-management, including demonstrating an effective ability to work on own initiative and in cooperation with others, to prescribed deadlines.

7. Manage self in line with the Mission and Values of Youth Cymru and work as a critically reflective youth work practitioner.

8. Carry out any other reasonable duties, commensurate with the post.

Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£26,250.00 per year
