- Be aged over 23 and have held a full licence for 2+ years with no major endorsements and no more than six points in last three years (for our vehicle insurance)
- Ideally have experience with live music touring and the music industry or the vehicle rental business (but not essential)
Key responsibilities of this job are:
- Preparing & checking vehicles, equipment and rehearsal rooms pre
- and post-hire, following our best practices as directed; assisting in minor repairs and general upkeep
- Helping to manage rentals, paperwork and inventory software for a smooth flawless operation; following reporting procedures when things go wrong.
- Signing vehicles & equipment in and out with clients and staff
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Delivery and collection of vehicles and equipment throughout the local area, UK and occasionally Europe, often working alone and having to plan and manage your own routes; making use of public and private transportation.
- Assist in day-to-day running of the business, such as general admin, database updates, stock upkeep, general maintenance etc.
- You may be required to attend events in a supporting role, possibly with time away from home
- Fielding enquiries and support queries through to other departments
- Accurately handling payments and deposits, sometimes of large amounts
- Working with the other departments to ensure smooth running of the business as a whole.
Terms of Employment:
- £26,250 per annum.
- Employed on PAYE basis with holiday pay, sick pay and pension benefits.
- 40 hours per week. Working times and hours are flexible but this role will require at least one and preferably two weekend days to be worked on a regular basis. We consider a normal working day to be 8 hours, and a normal working week to be five days out of a seven day week.
- Aside from the above weekend consideration, there is normally flexibility for you to choose your working hours on a permanent or temporary basis, according to our needs at the time.
- Within this flexibility, it is expected that we will require some later finishes and earlier starts on occasion, and you may be asked to adhere to a particular set of working / start / finish times when required. Weekends and bank holidays do not attract a higher level of pay.
- We are members of CycleScheme and Childcare Voucher schemes.
- Annual leave is 28 days inclusive of public holidays. At least 5 days (excl. New Year’s Day) to be taken in December and/or January each year.
- Performance reviewed on a quarterly basis. Pay and performance are reviewed annually. Pay can generally be expected to increase by inflation plus an agreed percentage annually.
- Particularly good performance will be recognised and rewarded in the form of bonuses.
