Full Time Nanny/housekeeper

**Job Title**:Nanny / Housekeeper
**Location**: Mobberley, Cheshire
We are a fun and welcoming family of four, with 2 boys both currently at primary school. We both work full time and sometimes away from home, which means our schedules are quite busy and changes from week to week. This means we’re looking for someone flexible and changing needs won’t fluster you.
This is an ideal position for someone who is used to running a home and understands the needs of a busy household with young children. You will be a good multitasker and be happy to pitch in with whatever is needed to keep the family home running smoothly. We enjoy living in a clean and tidy home, despite the efforts of the kids. We expect open, transparent and clear communication skills.
Food is important to us, we’d like a confident cook who is happy to prepare meals from scratch.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Childcare**:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote their physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
- Plan and facilitate educational and recreational outings, such as trips to the park, museum visits, and playdates.
- Assist with homework assignments and educational activities.
- Establish and maintain a structured daily routine that includes meal times, play times and bed time.
**Housekeeping**:
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all living areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas.
- Laundry duties, including washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothes and linens.
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking as required.
**Organisation and Time Management**:
- Effectively manage time to balance childcare responsibilities with housekeeping tasks.
- Prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance, ensuring that all duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain a schedule of activities and appointments for both children and household tasks.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and unforeseen circumstances.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience working as a nanny or housekeeper, preferably in a private household setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Be a driver of own car with a clean driving license.
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if required).
**Working Conditions**:
- Work hours may vary, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
- The position may require the Nanny/Housekeeper to travel with the family on occasion.
